Why Smoothies & Salads Didn’t Help My Weight Loss
As a model in Japan, I already was a size 0
But I still wasn’t considered thin enough
So I was told to lose weight on my face ASAP in order to be able to keep modeling
I listened + didn’t object
Instead I started all the salads, smoothies, and organic juices
I mean, that’s what everyone tells you to do, right?
“Eat clean”
“Drink your greens”
“Ditch the heavy meals for a smoothie bowl”
So, I did it all
I packed my fridge with salad ingredients
Hit up the very scarce juice bars all around Japan
And swapped my morning Starbucks with organic homemade almond milk lattes
But guess what??
IT DIDN’T WORK!
I wasn’t feeling any better, and my body wasn’t changing the way I expected it to
And I woke up one morning completely exhausted
It felt like body couldn’t go on any longer
I just cried in bed for a few hours, until I decided to get over it and do something about it
Because that’s what us, strong women, do
We don’t just let society take care of us and treat us like just another number
If we want something done, we take it into our OWN HANDS
And we move towards what we want!
[It shocked me by the way]
3 tips to lose weight:
1. Eat 4 small meals per day
2. Cut out all smoothies
3. Say goodbye to ANY caffeine
This whole time I wasn’t taking care of myself properly at all!
Even though I was following EVERY single piece of advice given to me
By my modeling agent, health experts, and White Coats
This taught me weight loss isn’t about following trends of what ‘sounds healthy’
It’s about listening to your body
And making choices following Genki System™️
👇[If you want to know more about it comment “GENKI”, I’ll send a video your way!]
I now feel lighter, more energized, and finally in tune with what my body REALLY wants
No more salads on repeat or $15 smoothies
That’s all green washing!!
You need real, whole foods — that’ll help you lose weight + feel good in your skin! ❤️
Love, Kelly
