5 Habits That Drained Me as a Model in Japan — And How I Recovered

I developed some bad habits while under stress as a model in Japan

They made me feel drained, exhausted, and NOT like myself at all! 😮‍💨

The culprits?

1️⃣Stress from toxic relationships 💔

My bad boss, manipulative frenemies, and even family member who’s always negative

[Can you already think of the person?👇]

These relationships SUCK the life out of you!

2️⃣ Lack of REAL rest 😴

I thought I was “resting” by scrolling + binge-watching Asian dramas

[What’s your favorite Korean drama?👇]

SPOILER ALERT:

That’s NOT rest because your body + mind need real, uninterrupted sleep to heal

3️⃣Overexposure to blue light 📱

This one shocked me the most!

[Did it shock you? 👇]

I was using products to protect my skin from UV rays

But didn’t realize all the time spent on my phone + laptop was DAMAGING it too

Blue light = skin aging FAST

4️⃣ Processed sugar + foods

When I lived in the UK I absolutely LOVED starting my day

With a hot cup of London Fog + croissant on a chilly fall day

[What’s your favorite comfort food? 👇]

But my skin did NOT love it

I got inflammation, breakouts, puffy, + tired skin

5️⃣ Constant comparison 👀

Social media is a double-edged sword

[How many hours do you spend on social media daily? 👇]

Although it’s helped me help women worldwide

[Who’ve AGED BACKWARDS in just 10 minutes per day]

I’d SCROLL FOR HOURS comparing myself to others

Whether it was their skin, success, or lifestyle

The “doom scroll” I call it

[Be honest, do you catch yourself doing the same? 👇]

But that comparison was KILLING my confidence + joy

Setting up unrealistic standards
